Leduc Oil Project – Leduc, Alberta

Langley, BC, Canada, June 17, 2010, Curlew Lake Resources Inc. (the "Company") (TSX-V: CWQ) (Pink Sheets CWLXF) announces it has acquired freehold and Petroleum and Natural Gas rights in the prolific Leduc area of central Alberta.

Curlew Lake Resources has as part of its on-going geological review of the Leduc oil field identified a number of prospects related to the Leduc Reef. Leduc is a long-standing oil field discovered in the late 40’s and a number of wells are still producing.

Curlew Lake has mapped parts of the Leduc field and carried out core work that indicates there are a number of in-fill and step out drilling opportunities. Some of these may present new reservoirs and overlying formations amenable to horizontal drilling.

Curlew Lake has acquired a number of leases and options in the Leduc South field and plans to pursue a number of re-completions and development optimizations as the lease acquisition stage is completed and licenses are obtained.

The Company strategy is to in-fill drill and optimize production in areas where infrastructure and proximity to services reduces costs and increases efficiencies.

Management is developing this and a number of other exploration plays in Alberta and it is Curlew Lake’s intent to take advantage of the new Alberta Crown royalty structure and the drilling credit program before it expires.
